As we begin our fourth week of school we are so grateful for the beautiful weather and the calm atmosphere around the school. Students have engaged so positively with their new learning and we are very proud of their efforts.
Our theme last week and this week is Whānau/ Family. It was so wonderful to spend time together at our Whānau Connect Hui - Pizza and Pou. What a lovely sight it was to see so many families on the front field engrossed in painting their pou-telling us their family story. We were delighted to see the stories on each pou take shape and we can't wait to see them displayed throughout the school. Thank you for taking the time to come and share the evening with us.
When we think about whānau we think about our need for connection, belonging and security- We all want to be loved, respected and to belong - not only in our family but in our school whānau as well- Classes have been learning what it means to be a school whānau- what we need to do to be able to support and care for each other.
Thank you for your support in getting your children to school on time- this has really helped with our settled environment and helps your child focus on learning rather than catching up.
