As we end our second week of school we are so grateful for the beautiful weather and the calm atmosphere around the school. Students have engaged positively with their new learning and we are so proud of their efforts.
The past two weeks we have focussed on wisdom- Today, we want to take a moment to reflect on wisdom. Sometimes, we think wisdom is just about knowing lots of facts or being really smart. But in the Bible, wisdom is something deeper—it’s about making good choices, listening to God, and treating others with kindness.
In the book of Proverbs, it says, "For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding." (Proverbs 2:6). This reminds us that true wisdom comes from God. It’s not just about what we know, but how we use what we know to help others and do what is right.
Jesus showed wisdom in everything He did. He listened, He forgave, and He always acted with love. We can be wise like Jesus when we:
-
-
Choose kindness, even when it’s hard.
-
Ask God for guidance when we’re unsure.
Take some time to talk to your tamariki to see what they have learned about wisdom.
Thank you for your support in getting your children to school on time- this has really helped with our settled environment and helps your child focus on learning rather than catching up.

We apologise for the delay in confirming teams however we have been really challenged by so many late registrations- Registrations closed on 5 February but we have received more than 12 late registrations- We have done our best to include these into our teams.
There is no Year 1/2 Touch team as only 3 players registered for this grade.
Below are the final teams for Football and Touch for 2025.

Attendance 2025
This year the government requires all school to develop a school plan to manage attendance. This means not attending school and leaving school early for unjustified reasons. The Board will soon be creating our plan to respond to attendance issues we experience. We will share this with you when it is completed.
This graphic shows you clearly the government targets and the expectation of schools to address poor or non-attendance.
After 5 days absence in one term a response is triggered. Please help us reach these targets by sending them to school every day and not picking them up early unless there is a medical or urgent family reason. Next newsletter we will clarify the new attendance codes and explain to you the difference between justified and unjustified absences.
