As we head into the final two weeks of term we are looking forward to reviewing our first half of year and welcoming you to our Whānau Connect conversations to share some time with your child to learning about what they have been up to this first half of the year and how they have achieved in the mid year assessments. It is also a time to think about how you can help your child at home and what goals you have for them in the second half of the year.
Last week an invitation was sent home to every family by email to book in for your conversation. Please be aware that we can only book one session per child so if you need separate conversations for any reason, please email the teacher and book one outside of the two formal nights. The reason for this is that we only have enough timeslots for one per child.
Please make sure you read all the information and if you have any questions, please feel free to call the office.

ART EXHIBITION
Our students have been creating pieces of art for their connected this term. They have read the inspirational stories of others and have created a piece of art to share their response to the story. This art will be on display in the Fale for the Whanau connect evenings so please take some time before or after your conversation to wander through the exhibition. We have been really impressed by the efforts and creations of our ākonga.

CURRICULUM CHANGES 2025
We have been working hard implementing the new curriculum- Te Mātaiaho- in both English and Maths. Teachers have worked very hard to understand the new documents and implement them to the best of our ability. At your whānau connect conversation your child’s teacher will give you an overview, so you have a better understanding of the work we have been engaged in and what the expectations are.
